Jiba Lamichhane is a multifaceted personality—an engineer by education, a businessman by profession, and a dedicated literary and social contributor by passion. Born in Tandi, Nepal, he pursued his early engineering studies at Pulchowk Engineering College before earning a scholarship to study in the former Soviet Union.

He holds degrees in Russian Language from the Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia and in Industrial and Civil Engineering from Moscow State University of Civil Engineering. During his time in Moscow, he witnessed the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the beginning of Russia’s economic transformation. With a keen entrepreneurial spirit, he established himself in Moscow, building a successful business career over two and a half decades.

Beyond business, Lamichhane has made significant contributions to Nepal’s economic landscape. His investments span across Sanima Bank, Kantipur Television, hydroelectric projects, hospitals, and educational institutions, helping bridge Nepal’s economic ties with Russia.
